MATERIALS: Little Mill Carpentry & Construction Ltd, hereby known as Little Mill Carpentry will provide their materials quotation based on current prices. Prices may vary if specifications, sizes, quantities alter from that quoted. Should there be additional deliveries required for reasons beyond our control further costs may arise. Little Mill Carpentry will detail additional costs on their final invoice and cover email, if the monetary value exceeds £100, Little Mill Carpentry will attempt to communicate additional costs to the customer before proceeding with work. If it is not possible to contact the customer, the work will be completed as to not disrupt scheduling, and the customer will be responsible for the items purchased on their behalf. Little Mill Carpentry will produce quotations based on the best of their knowledge. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, this quotation is for all items specified and not for individual items detailed therein. If a particular item is no longer required, we will vary our quotation accordingly, or in the event that this item is not required after a contract has been formed, we will vary our price accordingly.
The cost of a particular item may be given as part of an incentive or discount and may not be simply deducted from the quotation/price should we be unable to return the item to the suppliers.
CONTRACT: Quotations shall not form a contract until we have received a formal acceptance of the quotation and where applicable, payment for materials. If there is a delay with payment for materials, Little Mill Carpentry withholds the rights to move the scheduled start date. Little Mill Carpentry will aim to keep to their expected scheduling, however the customer may be required to move their appointment should work over-run or there be technical issues. Little Mill Carpentry will agree with their customer a mutually agreeable date for the work to be completed. Little Mill Carpentry will aim to not move appointments more than once. If the quotation has been accepted in writing by the customer, the customer will be responsible for materials purchased on their behalf. If the customer cancels their project after accepting their quotation, Little Mill Carpentry reserves the right to deliver materials to site and charge the customer in full for the materials with an £100 cancellation fee to cover storage and delivery costs.
SERVICES: Little Mill Carpentry will provide a quotation for labour based on the scope of works as detailed. If the scope of works changes due to issues not visible at the outset, Little Mill Carpentry and the customer reserve the right to cancel the contract, however any labour completed, and materials will be billed to the customer. If the scope of works changes as per requests from the customer, Little Mill Carpentry reserves the right to cancel the contract and bill for any labour completed and materials purchased.
In the event that scope of works changes due to issues not visible at the outset or from requests from the customer, Little Mill Carpentry reserves the right to charge for the additional time spent completing the project. This charge will be based on a day rate of £200 plus vat and will be proportioned to a half day rate of £100 plus vat for less than 4 hours.
WASTE REMOVAL: Little Mill Carpentry & Construction Ltd are registered as an upper-tier waste carrier and dealer with the Environment Agency, registration CBDU352812. This means we can dispose of your waste safely and responsibly under the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 act.
VAT: As a VAT registered business, all customers will be issued VAT invoices charges at a standard rate of 20%.
PAYMENTS: All payments are to be made via BACS to our business bank account or through our iZettle account, either using our card payment device or a secure one-time-only iZettle payment link (iZettle is part of the PayPal family).
Payment should be made within the time specified on the approved quotation, The legal binding contact.
Acceptance of the quotation states that the customer understands these payment terms, failure to make payment will result in the invoice being passed to credit control and the possibility of being taken to court.
All Petit Moulin orders are taken via our website www.littlemillcarpentry.com which is owned by Little Mill Carpentry & Construction Ltd.
Once payment has been received via our online payment service provided by PayPal you will receive a confirmation e-mail to your PayPal e-mail address confirming receipt, if you have requested to pay via credit or debit card you will be sent an email containing a secure iZettle payment link and you will receive a confirmation receipt following payment.
It is the customer’s responsibility to notify us of any errors or changes required within 24 hours of receipt of confirmation.
It is the customer’s responsibility to advise us of non-receipt of the payment receipt e-mail.
If selected, customers will receive a proof of their design within two working days of making payment. It is the customers responsibility to approve the proof before the item can be manufactured and dispatched. The final product may differ slightly from that shown in the proofed image due to fabrication limitations.
All sizes quoted are approximate.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that their layout, text, and font are correct before proceeding to payment.
We reserve the right to alter the customers designed sign if we feel production may be hindered due to sizing or layout limitations. We will contact the client via email to notify them of any changes.
If a bespoke size sign is selected, to ensure stability of the sign itself, we may need to drill 4 holes in the sign and supply four fixings. If you do not want us to do this, please advise us before manufacture.
Laser engraved slate signs are a natural product and as such the engraving colour will vary between ‘grey’ and ‘off white’, in addition, the slate sign engraving will darken with prolonged water exposure but will return to its original colour once dried.
All payments received are dealt with by PayPal or iZettle.
No customer credit card numbers are either viewed or stored.
As our website visitors are both public and commercial customers all prices stated are inclusive of VAT at the current rate of 20%. Please request a VAT invoice by emailing info@littlemillcarpentry.com.
All items are usually dispatched within 10 working days after proof is approved, If we are unable to dispatch within the stated time frame we will contact you with an estimated dispatch date.
Dispatch will be to the specified delivery address and once signed for will become the sole responsibility of the customer.
UK orders that have not been received within 15 business days after dispatch should be reported to us directly and we will endeavour to track the order. Please do not report an item missing until 15 business days has expired from dispatch.
We regret that we do not accept International orders at this time and will refund any such orders that come to us.
All items are shipped using Royal Mail recorded service which requires a signature.
If an item is returned due to attempted delivery, the customer will be charged an additional fee to cover return costs.
All postal costs are specified on payment.
Signs and other products that are individually personalised to the customer’s requirements are not eligible for return, refund or exchange.
We may require photographic evidence or ask that the product is returned to us for further investigation by ourselves or the postal services if either damage in transit or faulty goods are claimed.
We will only accept items returned to us that have not being installed or used and notification of the error was made within 24 hours from receiving the faulty goods.
Goods received damaged in transit will be replaced as soon as we are notified to the same specifications as the original order.
We reserve the right to cancel the contract at any time.
Each personalisation will be made to the customers specification.
littlemillcarpentry.com will not be responsible for any spelling mistakes or typographical errors made by the customer.
If your order is not manufactured to your instructions you have a right to cancel the contract, return the goods at the customers expense and receive either a full refund or replacement goods.
All signs carry a 12 month warranty.
Any claim under our guarantee must be supported with visual evidence prior to any settlement being authorized.

The customer shall indemnify and keep indemnified Little Mill Carpentry & Construction Ltd against all claims, costs, demands and expenses against the Company or any of its employees, howsoever incurred, arising out of the printing or distribution by the Company of any matter that is or may be unlawful, criminal, tortuous or libellous, or that infringes or may infringe any copyright, patent or design.
We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance.
The Contract will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties to the Contract submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
None of the above Terms and Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
